Ozzie, David and Ricky have been spotted hanging around the neighbors deck and appear to be learning the ways of dove-hood. In the mean time, I relocated the Arlo camera to the porch where momma robin has been building a nest. While she was off gathering straw I was able to tape the camera just above the nest to get good closeups and mom and her eggs and future hatchlings. During the process of nest construction, a pair of house finches would come and steal straw and inspect the eggs.
She started with a single egg and has been adding about one every other day for the past week. Daddy robin has not been seen much except for a quick snack he brought to mom to keep her on the nest.
