The chicks are growing rapidly on a steady diet of earthworms from mom and dad robin. According to Wikipedia they will be leaving the nest soon as it is getting very crowded with the chicks and mom. She is spending less time sitting in the nest and more time gathering food. When we walk Sam in the morning and evening the chicks watch us walk by. Mom is not bothered by our passing. She is seen frequently on the sidewalks near our house and earthworms cower in fear and squirm away as she hops by.
