May Skies

If the rain ever stops you may be able to see something in the night sky this month. The highlight of the month was going to be the Eta Aquarid meteor shower which results from dust left in Earth’s orbit from the famous Haley’s comet. If for some reason the skies clear on the morning of May 6th take a look toward the southeast and see if you can spot any meteors which will seem to come from the general direction of the constellation Aquarius.

In the final week of  the month hopefully the rain will stop and you should have multiple evenings to spot a nice grouping of Mercury, Venus and Jupiter in the west after sunset.
