Hope you had a chance to see the partial eclipse on Saturday. We were fortunate to be in the path of totality at the Hyatt Tamaya resort in Albuquerque. Unbeknownst to us, the Sky & Telescope Magazine eclipse tour was also there and we had about 100 folks viewing and photographing the eclipse in the clear blue skies overlooking the Sandia mountains. I have hundreds of images to hopefully put into some artful expression but this one of the moment of totality partly captures the breathtaking nature of a total eclipse. When the Sun’s is mostly obscured by the moon in a partial or total eclipse, the pinhole camera effect of tree leaves, your fingers or just about anything that casts a shadow results in the myriad images on the wall of the hotel. …more to follow.
