Lunar eclipse in the morning

If you are an early riser you may be able to see the eclipse from Balsam in the morning. The moon will be low in the west at totality but if you have a clear view of the setting sun you might get a good luck. It will be setting shortly after totality. Check out this link for details. NASA will also have a live stream.

This is a photo of totality from January 21st, 2019. The so-called red moon occurs when the moon is entirely in Earth’s shadow and light filtered trough the Earth’s atmosphere creates a reddish “earth shine” on the lunar surface.
