Unfortunately the skies over Balsam were completely overcast with rain. I got up several times just to make sure there were no sudden breaks in the clouds but it was solid all night. Oh well – there will be more lunar eclipses and even a solar eclipse viewable from NC in a few years. Meanwhile check out http://spaceweather.com/ for photos from around the world.
